Gregg Popovich calls Donald Trump’s conduct ’embarrassing,’ ‘dangerous’
Gregg Popovich doesn’t mince his words and has been consistently candid when it comes to critiquing United States president Donald Trump.

Ahead of Game One of the Western Conference Finals Sunday, the Spurs coach was asked about distractions outside of basketball. In the wake of Trump’s firing of former FBI director James Comey, who had an open investigation into Trump’s relations with Russia, Popovich unloaded.

Popovich was a Soviet Studies major at the Air Force Academy and he spent time in Eastern Europe on active duty intelligence operations giving his comments a bit of personal perspective. He kept his remarks short, but with his background knowledge, one could guess he’s certainly got some more insight here. He ended the presser in classic Pop-mic-drop fashion.
“Well, with that, have a nice afternoon. Enjoy the game. Somebody’s going to win. Somebody’s going to lose. I just hope somebody doesn’t get their butt kicked.”
